Turton students are celebrating having scored 77% A-C passes and 67% of the year recording 5 A*-C grades - including English and Maths, up 4% on last year.
Headteacher John Porteous said: “This has been a particularly good year for Turton. With both the A level and the GCSE results improving significantly, our students have really done well. I am so pleased for them and their families and of course for the staff who have worked so hard to support and encourage them.”
Mr Porteous added: “We could not have hoped for such a high level of achievement. The year group scored 252 A* grades, up from 191 last year and 126 the year before. That, by anyone’s reckoning is a staggering improvement. Almost a third of all exams taken at Turton came back with A* or A grade.”
