In Years 7-10 pullovers are optional but if worn must have the embroidered school logo. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Outdoor coats should be of a dark colour and suitable for adverse weather conditions: denim and sweatshirt fabric is not acceptable.

Students should be correctly dressed in full school uniform. They should not bring jewellery to school, although those with pierced ears are allowed to wear a discreet pair of sleepers or studs. Students wearing other jewellery will be asked to remove it. If they persist in wearing it after being asked to remove it, the jewellery will be confiscated and parents will be invited into school to collect it.
We also advocate that students do not bring expensive items into school, such as computer games or fashionable accessories, because of the upset caused if these are lost or damaged. If they do bring in mobile phones these must not be used in lesson time and must never be used for taking pictures. They too may be confiscated if this rule is abused. The school blazer must be worn by all students, boys and girls, in years 7-10. Year 11 students have the privilege of wearing the Year 11 sweatshirt instead of, or as well as, a blazer.
Equipment
To learn effectively students need to be equipped with the appropriate equipment; pens, pencil, ruler, rubber, calculator, etc. They will also need their organiser, which enables them to list homework, bring messages from teachers and plan their work and the necessary books for each lesson. These should all be carried in an appropriately sized bag. Without these, students will not be ready to learn and to fulfil their potential for achievement.
P.E. Kit

The PE Department, Student Council, V.O.L., the Parents’ Association and Governors have chosen a good quality kit; this is provided by PSL Custom Kit and is available on request at Harrisons and Parkers. In response to parental concerns about cost and convenience, please note that all items can be purchased from any retail outlet and It is not compulsory that PE kit has the PE department crest.
