Parents of pupils at Turton High School Media Arts College will endeavour to:
- Ensure that their child attends school regularly and punctually
- Contact the school on the first day of any absence
- Inform school in writing of the reasons for, and period of, any absence as soon as the student returns to school
- Ensure that their child is properly equipped for school
- Support the school's Code of Conduct
- Make sure that their child wears the correct school uniform and conforms to all aspects of the Uniform Code
- Make school aware of any problems that might affect their child's ability to work or their behaviour
- Ensure that their child does not bring cigarettes, lighter, alcohol or any other drugs into school.
- Support the school's disciplinary code
- Attend the annual Parents' Evenings to discuss their child's development
- Make sure that homework is done and that homework planners are checked
- Provide suitable conditions in which homework can be done
- Avoid taking their children on holidays during term time
